Acne Facial Skin Care

Facial skin care is not always the first thing on the mind of most
men and teenagers till the moment acne marks its presence with appearance
of pimples, zits and blackheads on an otherwise clear skin. Especially
during the adolescence when teens are really cautious and excited about
their physical changes that makes them look more mature, the break out of
acne, the hypersensitivity of their skin, their broken out complexion only
intensifies the other difficulties that they must endure. Most of these
difficulties cannot be controlled but their effect can be mitigated.

As children mature into adulthood they must adopt new ways of personal
hygiene
. They must adopt new cleaning habits and practice then
religiously. If you have an oily skin then you should wash your face at
least twice. Make sure that you always wash your face in a gentle manner
especially the acne affected skin. Washing face too often or scrubbing
roughly can aggravate the problem of skin acne instead of treating it.

There are many over-the-counter products available at supermarkets or
pharmacies that can mend broken out acne skin. Different products have
different ingredients. The most common ingredients are Benzoil Peroxide,
Salicylic Acid, Sulfur. They help in killing the bacteria that grow in oily,
infected pores and helps maintain an acne free skin.
Teenage brings with it the use of cosmetics especially among girls.
One very important term to understand in this regard in non-comedogenic.
This term implies that the particular product will not block pores. Not only
this helps prevent blackheads or pimples but is very useful in keeping your
skin healthy and acne free.
One should remember that acne is as much on an internal problem as it is
an external one
. Most of the products available in the market for facial
skin care only just suppress the symptoms thru regular use. If you really
want to achieve a long term acne free skin, you need to find out what is
causing it and work out the solution. You need an internal acne treatment
also along with proper facial skin care. Remember that acne not only affects
your skin but also affects your personality and emotional outlook. Parents
should really talk to teens about their acne problem and encourage them to
participate in social activities like sports, clubs etc. Parents should also
provide advice about methods of proper skin cleansing for acne free skin. If
the over the counter products like acne face creams or acne face cleansers
do not work out then a dermatologist or physician should be referred for
comprehensive facial skin acne treatment.
